District Science Supervisor

DEPARTMENT OF EDUCATION,establish District Science Supervisors,with aim to introduce quality class of Science Education in State. With this aim,Punjab Governmet assign various prime responsibilties on shoulders of gems from Punjab Schools.Today,In total, 22 districts of punjab have District Science supervisors,who works with one aim and under  able guidence & directions of Education department.Keeping in view,the progress of Science education in every district,one can estimate,days are not so far when Punajb will be number one State of India in Science education.

Key Responsibilities of District Science Supervisors are

  1. Execute directions recieved from Department of eduation, Director General of School Education,for promotion and upliftment of Science Education in District.

  2. Under able guidence of   State Institute of Science education,Chandigar and Punjab state council of science and technology,Chandigarh,holding  various Scientifical activities at district level.

  3. Under able guidence of competent authorities, organizing Science & Math fairs,Quiz,  Exhibitions  ,Role play competition,Adolosence education program(AEP),Declamation contests etc.,to develop scientific attitude among students.

  4. Organising various scholorship exams like National Means cum Merit Scholarship (NMMS), Punjab State Talent Search Examination (PSTSE), National Talent Search Examination (NTSE).

  5. Under supervison of Department of Science and Technology(DST),Delhi Supervise  E-inspire Award  Scheme (E-MIAS)in district.

  6. Annual/Surprise Inspection & Monitoring of Government schools of District.

  7. Under directions of Department of Forest and Enviornmental Studies,conduct activities of "Paryavaran Mitra" program, a nationwide initiative to create a network of young leader from schools across the country, who have the awareness, knowledge, commitment, and potential to meet the challenges of environmental sustainability in their own spheres of influence.
